Wet Weather Update: Fixtures Friday 27th May-Sunday 29th May

RUGBY LEAGUE BRISBANE - Friday 27th May, 12:38 pm

Following yesterday’s wet weather update unfortunately, majority of fields across Brisbane remain closed and unplayable due to state of the fields. Therefore, all community rugby league (U6 – Senior Open’s) for RLB Competitions that were scheduled for this weekend 27th – 29th May in Brisbane will be POSTPONED.

The RLB team will be sending out a survey this afternoon to all clubs seeking feedback on alternate options that will be proposed to reschedule this weekend’s Junior Competitions. Once this feedback is received from clubs, we will then advise all stakeholders when this round will be replayed.

All Open Men’s fixtures for this weekend will be postponed until Saturday the 2nd of July.

All Premier Grade games and Open Women’s fixture will proceed at this time with some venue changes.

West Brisbane Panthers vs Beenleigh will now be played at South Pine Sporting Complex, Albany Creek

Souths Juniors vs Brighton will now be played at Jim Lawrie Oval, Brighton

Communications on Venue changes for the SEQ Women’s competitions will be sent out shortly.

GIRLS - Thursday 26th May, 3:40 pm

Please be advised that the decision has been made to postpone round 4 (28th May) of the South East Girls competition.

Both Ipswich and Gold Coast have postponed this weekend’s local junior fixtures (due to fields closures), meaning that more than half of the girls scheduled games could not be played or relocated.

The Female Ops Team will meet early next week, and determine what the postponed rounds will look like. Further information will be sent out, as it comes to hand.

WOMENS - Friday 27th May, 1:00 pm

Thank you for your patience as we work with yet another week of wet weather. As you would have seen there have been a large number of postponed fixtures this weekend across SEQ due to wet weather, however myself and the female operations teams have worked hard to re-arrange games in order to ensure that the SE Women’s competitions can go ahead this weekend. Please check playrugbyleague.com for updated game details.
