Rugby League Brisbane (RLB) continues to strengthen its commitment to the growth and sustainability of the female game across South East Queensland.

In 2025, Rugby League Brisbane formally requested all affiliated clubs intending to field female teams in 2026 to submit an application for endorsement. This application process was introduced to ensure clubs are well positioned to provide a positive, inclusive and safe environment for female participants.

Purpose of the Application Process

The endorsement framework allowed Rugby League Brisbane to assess each club’s readiness to support female teams by reviewing key areas, including:

  • Club facilities and infrastructure
  • Coaching, support staff and welfare structures
  • Strategic planning and long-term commitment to the female game

This process ensures that clubs entering female teams into the QRL South East Female competitions are equipped to deliver high-quality experiences for players, coaches and volunteers.
